Sunset 17 TV & Podcast Studio was founded by Jason Lavin and Murphy Karges to enable businesses and individuals to share their inspiring stories in a high-quality, engaging format. They are extremely experienced in all aspects of content creation for businesses, from the pre-production consultation to the complete distribution and marketing of the content.

This is by far the #1 question. The answer is, “it depends.” We have a pricing page and also a helpful quote generator that can help with the basics, but you’re encouraged to call us if you need to talk things through.

Our studio is in Costa Mesa (Orange County, CA podcast studio). Our address is 432 East 17th Street, Costa Mesa, CA 92627 and we’re “wedged” between a bar (Wild Goose Tavern) and Mexican restaurant (Playa Mesa). We also share parking with Peet’s Coffee. Lots of parking in back.

No, sorry. We are not a self-service business. If you want to bring in your own cameras and people to film, you can do that, but we charge the same price. All the cameras, microphones, lighting and people are there so we only do full-service work.
